Performance PowerShell

Advanced
We often think of PowerShell as a fire and forget solution. We write our script, kick it off, head to the bar and look at the results the next morning. We don't care if that script took 5 minutes to execute, or 5 hours. But what if the script is running on a platform that charges by the minute, or even second, of runtime? A slow script can not only delay us doing follow-up activities, it can also cost us very real money. In this session, we'll take a look at some of the common mistakes people make with scripts that can have real performance impacts, how to overcome them, and how to determine when the effort to optimize outweighs the benefits gained.
