Architectural reviews of end-to-end Fabric solutions for traditional BI, AI and RTI

Introductory and overview
Friday, Oct 2
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Integrity
Have you been hearing a lot lately about Microsoft Fabric, Fabric for AI and Analytics, Fabric Intelligence (Fabric IQ), or Real-Time Intelligence (RTI)? This session moves beyond the hype and takes a hands-on look at two real-world Microsoft Fabric architectures. As a bonus, you'll leave with a complete solution that you can deploy in your own environment in less than an hour. Our first example walks through a complete Fabric implementation built on a Medallion architecture using 304 million rows of real healthcare data from CMS. We'll explore best practices across the entire analytics lifecycle, including Data ingestion and orchestration, Data transformation and modeling, Semantic model design, Power BI reporting, and Preparing your data foundation for AI agents and copilots. Attendees will also receive a Fabric Notebook that automates the deployment of the solution, making it easy to install, study, and demonstrate the architecture on their own. Our second example showcases Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Intelligence using live City of Seattle 911 call data. Streaming events are ingested into an Eventhouse to power near real-time analytics through the hot path, while years of historical data remain available in the Lakehouse through the cold path for deeper analysis. You'll learn how both streaming and historical data can be unified and accessed through a Fabric Data Agent, enabling seamless integration with AI agents and conversational experiences. By the end of the session, you'll understand how to design, deploy, and extend two very different modern Fabric architectures.
