Demystifying data privacy and your responsibilities

We've been collecting as much data as we can about anyone or anything in hopes of better understanding our users, their habits, how they use our applications, where they're using it, or glean any other insight to give us a competitive advantage over our competitors. But with laws and regulations being enacted around the world to protect the data rights of users, it can be difficult to understand when and how we can collect this information, as well as how we can use it.

In this talks, we'll explore the various types of data privacy laws and regulations in play today, new laws going into effect throughout the year, and what do we as developers need to do to ensure that we are compliant and stay out of regulators cross-hairs. Big or small no one goes unnoticed!
