Modernization Without the Pain: An Intro to Azure Container Apps

Kubernetes and distributed applications (microservices) have transformed the landscape of software modernization, especially cloud deployment, scaling, and management over the past decade. Unfortunately, it can also be complicated and difficult to use - especially without existing experience. In addition, developers have to figure out for themselves if microservices are the right approach for their scenario and choose from an ecosystem of options that are often either "too little" or "too much" for what they need.

Enter Azure Container Apps, Microsoft's newest service for deploying and running serverless containers at scale. It empowers developers to start their modernization process without steep learning curves or dedicated DevOps, grow at their own pace from containers to the cloud to microservices, and choose the approach that fits their needs instead of having to force a square peg into a round hole.

This talk is not a marketing or DevRel pitch. It will discuss the benefits of Azure Container Apps, but also what scenarios are not a great fit.
