Building a Highly Available Web Application Utilizing AWS and Docker

Friday, Aug 16 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM Room 103

Description

Looking to get started with Amazon Web Services (AWS), but just not sure where to begin? This session will give you the blueprint for building a highly available web application in AWS. In this session we start from creating and securing an AWS Account and then move on to configuring the required services, leading to some cost based decisions. When finished we will end up with a completed application architecture and DevOps pipeline. Some of the AWS services we will cover along the way include Identity and Access Management, Cloudfront, Simple Storage Service, Elastic Load Balancers, Elastic Container Service, Elastic Container Registry, Route 53 Domain Management, Certificate Manager, Relational Database Service, and Code Pipelines.

Our example system will utilize a .NET API and React front end, but any other api or frontend could be subsituted.
